My yoga style
Although still rooted in the principles of Dru, my personal style has evolved over the years to be both flowing and dynamic. I have picked up many ideas from going to classes and workshops from various styles of yoga that have now become a part of my personal practice and also in what I teach to others.
I believe pranayama (yoga breathing practices) to be an important part of this practice. I also believe the muscles should be warmed up before practising postures, I like to do this with flowing movements and some sun salutations.
I love Dru because it is a graceful and potent form of yoga, based on flowing movements, directed breathing and visualisation. Dru works on body, mind and spirit, improving strength and flexibility, creating core stability, building a heightened feeling of positivity, and deeply relaxing and rejuvenating your whole being.
